About LS
Education Goals
The Department of Life Sciences includes undergraduate, master and PhD graduate programs. The goals of our department are to provide students with basic and advanced professional knowledge and skills in the fields of Biological Science & Technology. Prepare students to advance their careers and pursue their graduate degrees in Biological Science & Technology or a related field, as well as postbaccalaureate degrees in the medical, traditional Chinese medicine, nursing, pharmacist, or veterinarian programs from other universities.
Our department is divided into two basic science branches, "Environmental & Biological Sciences and Technologies" and "Molecular Biomedicine", and brings together interdisciplinary education with College of Science, College of Engineering, and other professional departments.
Our investigators collaborate widely with members of other research institutes and clinical hospitals, including world-renowned Academia Sinica, National Health Research Institutes, Taoyuan General Hospital (an Affiliate Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare), Landseed International Hospital, Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital, Taipei Veterans General Hospital –University System of Taiwan, and Tea Research and Extension Station, Council of Agriculture.
With collaborations, our department creates powerful learning opportunities for students, employs innovative biological sciences and techniques innovative and employed, and develops great partnerships with industry, government, other academic institutes, and many international institutions. All aspects help solve environmental challenges and the problem of global biomedical diseases.
